CET Acquires Omega Calibration Laboratories

Specialist construction outsourcing firm CET UK has acquired Omega Calibration Laboratories.

The deal marks CET's second acquisition in four weeks, having previously bought Doncaster-based Construction Testing Solutions (CTS) in early May.

The agreement will provide customers with a "broader range of services" with Omega providing specialist metrology calibration services and repairs for a range of clients, including Bombardier and JCB.

CET can now provide clients, such as Aggregate Industries and VolkerWessels UK, with a nationwide infrastructure outsourcing service.

Bob Blunden, CEO of CET, said: "We are constantly looking to strengthen our offer and providing a comprehensive service to our customers is central to that. The acquisition of Omega Calibration Laboratories, which comes just weeks after our purchase of CTS, is not only a good strategic fit but enables us to provide an added-value service."
