Network Rail To Begin Road Bridge Repairs In Nottinghamshire

Network Rail is due to begin repairing a road bridge this weekend in Nottinghamshire.

Workers will carry out resurfacing and strengthening works at the 140-year-old bridge on Station Road in Hucknall.

In addition, engineers will move gas, water and broadband supplies from the existing bridge which is being rebuilt as part of Network Rail's £40 billion Railway Upgrade Plan.

To carry out the project, the road will be closed to traffic on Saturday, 04 June until Sunday, 30 October. Diversions will be in place.

Rob McIntosh, route MD for Network Rail, said: "Station Road bridge is a vital transport link for the people of Hucknall and this investment will help further improve its reliability."
