SES Wins £2.8m Contract On Bradford Development

SES Engineering Services has won a £2.8 million contract on the Dixons McMillan Academy development in Bradford.

Main contractor Interserve has selected the firm to provide the design and installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services on the project, including HVAC systems.

Interserve is delivering the £7.5m development on behalf of the Dixons City Academy Charitable Trust. Work includes refurbishing and extending an existing building on the former Bradford College site to provide new teaching spaces and a sports hall.

In addition, a multi-use 'heart space' will be developed to enclose the existing semi-courtyard entrance area.

The two-phase scheme will eventually accommodate 720 pupils by the time it reaches full capacity by 2020.

Steve Joyce, Regional Director, SES, said: "I am delighted that Interserve has chosen to involve us in this ambitious Dixons McMillan Academy project.

"Our early involvement providing design and cost input ensured that the scheme was both affordable and would match the client's expectations prior to commencing work."
