Plans have been revealed for a new town centre at Elephant and Castle in London.
Designed by planning practice Allies and Morrison, proposals by Delancey and APG include creating new shops, leisure venues, restaurants and over 1,000 new homes.
Other features include a 500-capacity music venue, a 1,000-seat cinema and a integrated campus for London College of Communication (LCC), part of the University of Arts London (UAL).
The project is part of a wider £3 billion regeneration programme in the Southwark area, which involves developing a pedestrianised town centre, a brand new park, 5,000 new and replacement homes, approximately 450,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space, and an integrated public transport hub.
Delancey CEO Jamie Ritblat said: "Our ambition is to create a new and improved town centre for Elephant and Castle; one which complements, celebrates and builds upon the existing diversity and vibrancy that this key Zone 1 location is already so renowned for."
