A construction worker has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was crushed by an excavator on a site in Stafford.
The incident occurred at around 3:30pm in Corporation Street on Tuesday, 03 May.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the building site employee was crushed by a large tracked excavator.
A spokesperson said: "On arrival, the man was found to have significant injuries on his right side.
"He had his leg splinted and a pelvic binder put in place before he was airlifted to the major trauma centre at Royal Stoke University Hospital."
