Work is progressing on a multi-million pound mixed-use development in Croydon, it has been announced.
The first office building as part of the £500 million Ruskin Square scheme is nearing completion.
Lendlease has now began the cladding, glazing and roofing elements of the development.
Once completed, the nine-storey building will feature 180,000 sq ft of office space with a further 11,000 sq ft of restaurant and cafe space on the ground/first floors.
Owners Schroder UK Real Estate Fund and development partner Stanhope Plc have also recently received planning consent for the second office building, which will total 200,000 sq ft over 12 upper storeys of around 17,500 sq ft each.
The overall Ruskin Square project will comprise of 1.25 million sq ft of commercial space, 625 new homes, various shops/restaurants and outdoor public space.
Jason Margrave, Development Director at Stanhope, said: "With the first office building now entering its final stages of delivery, this demonstrates the significant momentum we are making on site.
"With the first phase of homes set to be delivered this summer, closely followed by the opening of BoxPark, the initial elements of this thriving and vibrant new destination are visibly coming to life."
