Hundreds of new homes are set to be built on major development site in Kent.
Land Securities has secured a number of deals with Taylor Wimpey to develop a significant number of new homes at Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The developer has exchanged contracts with the house builder for the sale of 539 residential plots at Castle Hill, one of three planned modern villages in the 269-hectare Eastern Quarry development.
The deal will bring the total number of committed homes at the site to 1,500, 375 of which are affordable. Both Ward Homes and Persimmon are already on site at Castle Hill.
Land Securities has also been granted planning permission for a two form entry primary school at Castle Hill, while another deal has been agreed for the sale of land at Eastern Quarry for two further villages, which will have capacity for 4,700 homes.
Finally, through its Ebbsfleet joint venture with Lafarge Building Materials and Anglo American International Holdings, the developer has completed the sale of Springhead Park to Countryside.
As the first phase of the Ebbsfleet Valley development, Springhead Park already comprises of around 300 homes which were built by Countryside.
The deal will see Countryside build an additional 500 homes on the site.
