Ask Real Estate (AREL) has acquired a former car showroom site in Manchester.
The 1.74 acre site is located in the city centre and was previously home to the Bauer Millett car showrooms.
Designed by SimpsonHaugh and Partners, early development proposals will include a mix of uses comprising commercial offices, hotel, retail/leisure, residential and car parking totalling over 750,000 sq ft with a value of around £300m.
Any plans will be delivered in partnership between Ask, Manchester City Council (MCC), Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) and Manchester Central, the city's award winning conference and events venue.
John Hughes, MD of Ask, said: "Our new corporate relationship with Carillion, which was only completed in January, has given us the platform to move quickly to acquire this prime piece of real estate in the city centre.
"I am looking forward to us working in partnership with MCC, TfGM and Manchester Central and evolving our exciting development proposals before submitting a detailed planning application later this year."
