A new £40 million Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) is to be built in Wiltshire, Defence Secretary Michael Fallon has announced.
The CSOC facility will be developed at MOD Corsham.
The dedicated centre will be staffed by experts trained to protect the MOD's cyberspace and is part of the Government's wider plan to redevelop the MOD's operational cyber security capabilities.
Defence Secretary Michael Fallon said: "This new Operations Centre will ensure that our Armed Forces continue to operate securely.
"Our increasing defence budget means that we can stay ahead of our adversaries in cyberspace while also investing in conventional capabilities."
A timescale for the project is yet to be announced.
