Galliford Try Secures Place On YORbuild2 Construction Framework

Galliford Try has won a place on a major construction framework in the North of England.

The housebuilding and construction group has secured a position on the YORbuild2 framework.

The four-year programme is procured by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Scarborough Borough Council, Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and Leeds City Council.

The collaborative scheme covers a total of 91 local authorities in the North and contains a possible two-year extension.

Galliford Try has secured a spot for projects worth over £4 million, resulting in a combined potential pipeline of around £1.9 billion.

In addition, the firm has been appointed to two public sector contracts in Croydon.

Financial close has been achieved with the Education Funding Agency for the £21.7m Harris Invictus Academy. Housing 1,150 pupils, features include a new sports hall, main hall, activity studio, dining area, library, music room, reception area as well as a multi-use games areas, sports pitches and an external play space.

An agreement has also been signed with Croydon Health Services NHS Trust to build a new £21.25m A&E facility for Croydon University Hospital.

It will consist of 28 emergency bays, an eight bed children's emergency department with its own reception and waiting area, a large resuscitation unit and an urgent care centre for minor ailments and illnesses.
