Work To Begin On Viaduct Bridge Repair In Cleveland

Work is due to begin on a viaduct repair project in Cleveland.

Contractors will carry out works on Leven Valley Viaduct Bridge on the A19 in Middlesborough.

The project will take place on the northbound carriageway between the A67 Thirsk Road and the A174 Parkway Interchange.

Works are due to begin at 8pm today, 22 March and finish by 6am tomorrow, 23 March.

Highways England project manager Phil Leng said: "We need to carry out repairs to the bridge joints on Leven Valley Viaduct Bridge starting tonight. This work will be carried out overnight when traffic levels are at their lowest.

"This is essential maintenance work that will ensure the bridge can be safely used by drivers for many years to come."

Diversions will be in place.
