Construction firm Mace has been selected to build a residential development at East Village, the former Athletes' Village in London.

East Village is already home to more than 6,000 residents across 2,818 homes, with planning consent for further phases in-line with the 2005 Stratford City Masterplan.

Located adjacent to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, East Village is a major regeneration project for the area, delivering a wide range of high quality residential and retail spaces.

The work includes two towers, at 30 and 26 storeys plus ground, with 482 residential homes, on land next to Celebration Avenue and Victory Park. Delancey and Qatari Diar are joint developers for the project, and Get Living London will manage the properties upon completion.

Construction work is expected to be complete by 2018.
