Mace Group has been selected to fit-out a store at a new retail development in Leeds.
The firm will supply the John Lewis unit at the new 575,000 sq ft Victoria Estate project in the city centre.
The development will provide an additional 42,000 m2 of retail and leisure space, as well as a 800-space multi-storey car park.
The scheme will generate 1,000 construction jobs and 1,000 retail/hospitality posts once completed.
Mace is now underway with works at the John Lewis store, which is due to open in autumn this year.
Neil Hennessy, Regional Director at Mace, said: "This is Mace's first project for John Lewis and I'm delighted that we've won this appointment to work with such a prestigious retailer. Mace has a strong track record of delivery in the retail sector and we will be drawing on this expertise to deliver an outstanding store for the city's new, vibrant retail quarter."
