Sandwell Council has reached a 'major' milestone on a £50 million programme to upgrade its property portfolio.
The internal improvements and refurbishment package is being carried out by three construction partners: Lovell Partnerships, VINCI Facilities and Wates Living Space.
Lovell has now completed the 4,000th home as part of the project which began in March 2014.
So far, works have included the repair/refurbishment of 2,302 bathrooms, 2,122 kitchens and ,634 roofs.
A further 2,663 homes have had central heating work done and another 2,951 homes have been rewired.
Another 500 homes will have been completed by the end of February.
Cllr Paul Moore said: "I am pleased to celebrate the 4000th property to have received internal improvements since Sandwell Council started its latest investment programme in 2014."
