Ansaldo JV Secures £34.5m Re-Signalling Contract

A joint venture (JV) between Ansaldo STS and Linbrooke Services has secured a £34.5 million re-signalling contract from Network Rail.

The consortium has been appointed to re-signal and upgrade the line from Ferriby to Gilberdyke in North Humberside.

Linbrooke will deliver the signalling and power construction works, the telecommunications system design and construction under its part of the deal valued at £19.35m.

In addition, Ansaldo STS will lead the JV and be responsible for the SEI CBI signalling system design and supply and the axle counter system design, supply and integration totalling £15.15m worth of work.

The project will begin this month and is due to be commissioned in March 2018.
