Lovell has appointed Martin Boyce as project director for a £320 million regeneration project in London.

With over 30 years experience in the construction industry, Mr Boyce will lead the new housing project in Woolwich.

The scheme will transform three council estates and create 1,500 new homes.

It is being carried out in partnership with the Royal Borough of Greenwich and asra Housing Group.

1,000 properties will be made available for open market sale, while 500 'affordable' homes will be created for asra.

Demolition got underway in November, with construction due to begin later this year.

Lovell regional MD Michael O'Farrell said: "Martin brings extensive industry experience and an exceptional record of managing the delivery of major housing projects to the very highest standards.

"I'm delighted that he will lead the construction of this landmark regeneration programme for Woolwich which will create high-quality modern homes as well as significant training and job opportunities for the area."

Mr Boyce joins the company from Kier Residential where he was area construction manager.

He has also held senior management roles with national house builders including Berkeley, Kier and Wilson Connolly (now Taylor Wimpey).
