Wates To Deliver Fit-Out Scheme At £100m Leeds Development

Wates has been selected to deliver an interior fit-out project at a £100 million office scheme in Leeds.

The firm is currently delivering the 11-storey Central Square scheme on the site of a former Royal Mail office in Wellington Street.

The development will comprise 220,000 sq ft of Grade A office space and 30,000 sq ft of retail and leisure provision.

Professional services firm PwC has now selected Wates to deliver £5m of fit-out works across two floors of the building.

The project, designed by DLA Design and WSP Global, will see 50,000 sq ft of category B office space created across floors seven and eight.

Once completed, the project will comprise of moveable glazed walls and a modern audio-visual system.

Paul Dodsworth, Business Unit Director for Wates, said: "As the contractor appointed to deliver the base-build at Central Square, our team has acquired a first-hand in-depth understanding of the scheme and is therefore extremely well placed to facilitate the high-end fit-out works of PwC's prestigious new office."
