Ask Real Estate has been selected to lead a town centre regeneration scheme in Cheshire.
The Manchester-based developer will spearhead the redevelopment of Macclesfield town centre after it agreed to buy the Churchill Way car park.
Features of the project include a multiplex cinema, restaurants and retail spaces designed around a new public realm.
Ask was selected after 18 other offers were submitted to the council to lead the redevelopment scheme.
Leon Guyett, Development Director, said: "We are aware there was lots of interest in the site so are understandably really excited at being chosen as the preferred purchaser by Cheshire East Council.
"We are looking to provide a high quality leisure destination to appeal to the local community which will be anchored by a cinema with high quality public realm.
"We look forward to sharing our plans for this prominent town centre site over the coming months."
Once contracts are exchanged, the project will then go before planning officials.
