IBI Group has been selected to design a new £40.5 million innovation facility in Wales.
The Aberystwyth Innovation and Enterprise Campus (AIEC) is being built at Aberystwyth University.
The scheme will involve researchers working in collaboration with the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) to create 'market focused solutions' for the agri-tech industry.
The facility will house a wide range of facilities including a Bio-refining centre, Future Food Centre, Analytical Science laboratories and access to a Seed Processing and BioBank Facility.
In addition, it will contain formal/informal meeting areas along with office accommodation.
IBI Group's Mark Drane said: "We are very proud to be involved with such an exciting development and to be given the chance to design an innovative hub that will inspire successful collaborations between researchers and budding entrepreneurs.”
Huw Watkins, AIEC Project Director, added: "We look forward to working closely with the team at IBI Group to progress the development of this exciting project and have already benefited from their approach, relevant experience and creativity."
