Wates Construction has been appointed to deliver an £8 million school in Bournemouth.
The new St Peter's School, designed by architects Cube Design, will be built at the schools existing sports field on Saint Catherine's Road in Southbourne.
Features include 16 classrooms, two art studios, two science labs, a dining hall and kitchen, a main hall, changing facilities and staff offices.
Four Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) pitches will also be developed as well as associated landscaping and a staff car park.
The building will accommodate 480 secondary school pupils and is expected to be completed in late Autumn 2016.
The next phase will involve refurbishing the Holdenhurst Road site and is expected to be completed in summer 2017.
The completed refurbishment will accommodate 420 primary school pupils.
