Features include HGV parking, five dock level loading doors and 2 – 4 level access doors.

In addition, 140 car parking spaces will be developed along with 50 cycle spaces.

Sustainable features of the BREEAM 'Very Good' project include solar thermal collectors and air source heat pumps.

Operations Manager at MCL&H, Andy Ferguson, said: "To be awarded this prestigious contract next to the world's busiest airport is testament to the reputation we've built up for delivering high-quality largescale warehouse developments.

"The facility offers a fantastic option for businesses wanting fast access to the cargo terminal at Heathrow, and we expect the hub will attract some high profile brands."

McL&H will be on site from the end of this month with each unit completed by summer 2016.
