BAM Construction has been selected to deliver a new £20 million European headquarters for Tata Technologies.

Warwick District Council has approved planning permission for the facility which will be built on a 3.85 hectare site at Tachbrook Park in Leamington Spa.

BAM will commence works on site later this month to build the 63,000 sq ft three-storey building.

Designed by architects Webb Gray, the steel framed structure will contain a feature staircase and modern working environments featuring two wings with a central core.

It is understood around 150 people are expected to work on the project.

Fusion Building Consultancy is Tata Technologies' project management team, and their structural engineer is the Complete Design Partnership.

Nick Sale, Chief Operating Officer of Tata Technologies Europe, said: "Following a stringent tender process, we selected BAM based on their excellent credentials and proven track record of delivering high profile building projects for high profile clients.

"The development marks an exciting new chapter in the company’s support of engineering excellence across the region and will create an additional 200 job opportunities at all levels, from graduate to senior roles."

The project is expected to be complete in February 2017.
