Balfour Beatty has been awarded a pre-construction services contract to deliver a £150 million residential tower development in London.
Working alongside LBS Properties, Balfour will work on areas including procurement and the delivery strategy for 'The Madison' building adjacent to Canary Wharf.
It will comprise of a 53-storey tower containing commercial space, extensive landscaped gardens at ground level and 423 residential apartments.
Amenities include a 16th floor residents' lounge, a private screening room, business facilities, a gym, spa and swimming pool.
Dean Banks, Managing Director of Balfour Beatty's UK Construction Services, said: "The Madison will be one of the tallest structures under construction in the UK, standing at an impressive 187 metres.
"I am delighted the specialist skills and expertise Balfour Beatty offers in this growing market have been recognised by LBS Properties."
Balfour is to begin enabling works this February prior to full contract award, with completion of the development scheduled for late 2019.
The full construction contract is expected to be awarded this summer.
