Laing O'Rourke Appoints Former Balfour Chief

Laing O'Rourke has appointed former Balfour Beatty business efficiency director Chris Millard to head its Engineering Excellence Group.

He will take up his new role with the firm later this month.

Mr Millard has over 20 years of experience in design and manufacturing, business leadership, major project leadership and business transformation.

At Balfour, he was responsible for major industry operations in the UK covering a range of services including transport, power, construction, civil engineering and engineering.

Laing O'Rourke's Group Technical Director, Paul Westbury, said: "Chris possesses a unique mix of cross-sector skills and experience that strongly supports our drive to become an Engineering Enterprise."
