A £5.3 million link road project has been completed in Wiltshire.
The 2km Leap Gate Link Road scheme near Trowbridge was built by Persimmon Homes and Cuddy Construction.
It has taken approximately four years to develop.
It is the second phase of easing congestion around the town and will connect to the recently opened Hilperton Relief Road.
In addition, it will provide access to the Trowbrige development from West Ashton Road in the south and the A361 Hilperton Drive/Devizes Road from the north.
Peter Kenny, project/adoption manager for Persimmon Homes, said: "The Leap Gate Link Road gives the necessary support to the existing infrastructure and it has allowed for much needed homes to be built in the area.
"The road follows on from a new school that opened 18 months ago along with a new shopping area planned for spring 2016."
