McLaughlin & Harvey (McL&H) has finished building a £5 million tennis facility in London.
The modern Chandos Tennis Club is located in Barnet and will replace the previous tennis club.
Features include four outdoor synthetic grass courts, one junior court and four covered tennis courts with a bespoke tent style canopy roof. In addition, it also has 26 secure cycle racks and 41 car parking spaces for members.
The contractor has also developed the clubhouse with lounge, café, gymnasium, meeting room and changing facilities.
The complex was built with a steel frame, timber cladding and completed with a high-specification finish.
Built to be as environmentally friendly as possible, the clubhouse roof is equipped with thermal panels to provide hot water for the whole facility, while photo voltaic panels generate electricity.
Water harvesting tanks were also installed to collect rainwater for flushing the toilets
Steven Gunn, project manager at McL&H, said: "We worked very closely with Chandos Tennis Club and the local authority to bring them along with us on the journey of the build, ensuring they were involved at every step to deliver what they expected."
