Glazing firm EYG Commercial has won a £5.1 million contract to carry out works at one of the UK's biggest care home developments.
The £60m project involves creating 151 assisted living apartments and a 90-bed care home built by converting a former Cadbury's chocolate factory in Bristol.
EYG will supply and install around 900 windows and over £500,000 worth of curtain walling, along with a number of automatic doors and a ventilation system.
In addition, there will be up to ten fitters on site throughout 2016.
The scheme is being project managed by Andrew Wilson Partnership along with architects KWL and AWW.
With an estimated turnover of £14 million next year Commercial Director Steven Swallow said the deal with St Monica Trust will keep the company busy throughout 2016.
"This contract is the result of three months' hard work by the team, and is a huge achievement," he said.
"We are used to working on multi-million pound contracts, but this is the largest contract we’ve signed, and it has to be delivered in a relatively short space of time as the retirement village is due to open in Spring 2017.
"Our factory will be working to capacity next year, and we have already recruited four apprentices and are looking at hiring at least two more. We will then review things next year, and could possibly expand further."
