Hewden Sells Portable Accommodation Business To Wernick

Wernick Group has acquired Hewden's entire portable accommodation business for an undisclosed sum, it has been announced.

The deal includes 4,000 units and four hire centres.

The purchase brings Wernick Group's investment in 2015 to £35 million.

This includes investing internally to expand the Group's hire fleet, along with spending £3 million on a new site in York to support the continued expansion of Wernick Refurbished Buildings.

In addition, the company has moved its manufacturing plant in South Wales to a larger 8-acre site in a £4 million deal.

Wernick Group's Chairman, David Wernick, said: "This is another exciting part of the continual expansion of the Wernick Group, with £35 million invested in 2015 alone. These units are a fantastic addition to the Wernick fleet, and we look forward to continuing to provide a high quality service for Hewden's existing customers."
