A £6.5 million project to expand a college in Middlesex is now complete.

Morgan Sindall has finished developing a four-storey business enterprise unit for Harrow College.

The new facility can now accommodate 580 students and 140 staff.

The building provides extra teaching space at the college and includes modern classrooms with open-plan areas for learning.

In addition, the sustainable project as achieved a BREEAM rating of 'Excellent'.

Features of the new building include full automatic air conditioning, heat recovery ventilation, solar control glazing, low energy LED internal and external lighting.

It also includes photovoltaic panels which generate electricity by converting solar energy.

Morgan Sindall also developed external landscaping for local wildlife around the site.

Judith Abbott, Director of Finance and Resources at Harrow College said: "We are delighted with the new Enterprise Centre which has been designed and built to a high standard.

"The building has a real 'wow factor' and the BREEAM rating reflects the College's strategic objective to be a leading sustainable college.

"Our students now have a first class learning environment, and the facility will also benefit the wider Harrow community serving as a business and innovation hub."
