Around 1,000 people were evacuated from a construction site in Liverpool yesterday due to a fire.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service (MFRS) were called out to Carillion's £335 million Royal Hospital development at approximately 1:45pm yesterday, 03 December.
Three fire appliances tackled the blaze, the cause of which is as yet unknown.
One workman, a 49-year-old, was taken to hospital for a precautionary check due to suffering slight smoke inhalation.
Two other men, aged 43 and 47, were checked by paramedics at the scene.
Fire crews had left the scene by 2:20pm.
Investigations into the cause of the blaze are now underway.
