"With over 10,000 people currently on the housing waiting list in the city, this is an extremely important scheme that will play a key role in tackling Cardiff's housing need. The project will also help first time buyers get that important first step on the housing ladder."

Joanne Jamieson, MD of Wates Living Space's Homes division, said: "Our appointment to Cardiff City Council's Housing Partnership Programme is testament to Wates Living Space's expertise in creating high quality homes that will efficiently address an urgent housing shortage whilst improving the quality of life for local people.
