Construction Work To Start On New BBC Headquarters

Construction of the new headquarters for BBC Wales' in Cardiff city centre will begin on 07 December.

The announcement follows the final sign-offs between the broadcaster and developers Rightacres.

Announcing the news, Director of BBC Wales, Rhodri Talfan Davies, said that he was "delighted" and the "vital strategic investment" would allow BBC Wales to plan for the future.

It is understood around 1,200 staff will relocate from BBC Wales' current site in Llandaff to Central Square in 2019.
