Safety inspectors have praised the management of BAM's multi-million pound construction development in Cambridge.
The £80 million lots one and three schemes of the North West Cambridge Development was rated as 'exceptional' by inspectors from the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS).
The appointment of a full time on-site health and safety advisors was praised by CCS Monitor's, as well as initiatives such as pedestrian zone protection and breakfast rewards for good staff safety performance.
Located within the heart of the North West Cambridge Development, the project involves developing 352 homes for the University and College, along with a supermarket and retail units, a doctors surgery and the shell of the energy centre built to a BREEAM 'Excellent' standard.
