A number of improvements to the A13 and M25 junction 30 are to be carried out sooner than planned, Highways England has announced.
Work is to begin in early November, meaning that the scheme will now finish in summer 2016 rather than autumn 2016.
The scheme, beginning on 2 November, aims to increase capacity and reduce congestion.
Project Manager, Lizzie Pauling, said: "The improvements to the A13 and M25 junction 30 will provide drivers with safer and more reliable journeys on these already heavily congested routes.
"Since construction started earlier this year, we have identified an opportunity to start on the M25 earlier and finish the work in summer 2016, earlier than originally planned."
