SUFC Reveals New Stadium Proposals

Southend United Football Club (SUFC) has revealed proposals to develop a new stadium in Essex.

The Club, in partnership with British Land, has announced it intends to relocate to Fossetts Farm in Southend-on-Sea.

The scheme forms part of wider plans by development company Martin Dawn to build a new football stadium for SUFC.

The new 21,000 seat stadium will include a 131 bed hotel and residential development, including an 11-12 screen cinema, retail and restaurant floorspace along with related ancilliary infrastructure at Fossetts Farm.

In addition, two soccer domes will be developed, one for use by the community and one for SUFC for training.

Planning is due to be submitted in December with construction to begin in 2016.
