The CEO of Hanson UK is to step down from his position after eight years as head of the construction materials business.
Daniel Cooper will succeed Patrick O'Shea when he steps down in December 2015.
Joining Hanson in 1990, Mr O'Shea held a number of senior financial and operational roles before becoming chief executive of Hanson Pacific in 2001.
He became chief executive of Hanson Continental Europe and Asia in 2003, eventually becoming MD of Hanson Aggregates UK in June 2004.
Speaking on the announcement, Mr O'Shea said: "It's not been easy but I have enjoyed the challenge of leading the company through this difficult period and into a position where I believe we are well placed to take advantage of the opportunities which lie ahead."
