Morrison Construction has been appointed as preferred contractor to develop a new £72 million hospital in East Lothian.
The Galliford Try-owned business was selected by Hub South East Scotland on behalf of NHS Lothian.
The 23,000 sq m community hospital is to be developed on the existing Roodlands Campus located in Haddington.
The facility is to provide a range of community-based services and will include a day surgery, mental health inpatient beds, medicine of the elderly, a pharmacy and a number of other community-based treatment services.
In addition, Galliford Try's Facilities Management business has been appointed to provide ongoing hard facilities maintenance and lifecycle management to the East Lothian Community Hospital.
The £32m contract is to be carried out over a 25-year period.
Galliford Try Investments will also be investing and providing management services to the company which will be set up to fund the project.
