Housebuilder Larkfleet has appointed Adrian Brotherton as its Director of Special Projects.

Mr Brotherton will oversee development schemes which could transform the building of homes across flood risk areas in the UK.

Originally an architectural technician, Mr Brotherton spent over a decade with Allison Homes before running his own building firm Fieldview Homes.

He then became Managing Director of luxury house builder Seagate Homes.

Mr Brotherton will oversee the development of Larkfleet's low carbon flood risk house project, which could allow homes to be safely built in areas susceptible to regular flooding.

A prototype of the house is currently being built from new materials that will allow it to be developed on a platform which could be raised at times of local flooding.
