Logistics specialists Wilson James has appointed Peter Jacobs as Managing Director (MD) of construction and integrated solutions.

Previously, Mr Jacobs was the MD of Morgan Sindall's London and Airports division.

He spent 24 years at Bovis Lend Lease were he was director for ten years and has also previously been president of The Chartered Institute of Building.

Last year, he joined the company as a non-executive board director.

Mr Jacobs said: "I am delighted to join Wilson James as Managing Director of the Construction Logistics and Integrated Solutions business. Logistics has always been critical to the successful delivery of complex construction projects. The increasing impact of BIM and off site fabrication in the industry will provide an opportunity to increase productivity on site, but only if there is professional and disciplined logistical support."

Wilson James are currently the logistics consultants for the planning application at 22 Bishopsgate in the City of London.
