ISG has been awarded a £8.4m contract to deliver a new University Technical College (UTC) in Warrington.
The college will be built for Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) as part of the town's £10m Stadium Quarter regeneration scheme.
The company is already developing an £8.5m Incubator facility for Warrington Borough Council, which represents phase one of the £190m redevelopment plans.
The building was designed by architect practice Ellis Williams.
The six-storey building will feature a steel frame structure with majority rain screen cladding to its façade, with a series of non-uniform windows.
The UTC will specialise in the engineering and energy sectors, and is supported by key regional employers, including Sellafield, Atkins, Amec Foster Wheeler, Tenet Consultants and Nuvia.
In addition, it will comprise of a series of workshops, a lecture theatre, a laboratory and teaching space for up to 640 students and staff.
The building will also house approximately £1m of specialist engineering equipment.
