Builder and developer Seddon has been contracted to build a housing development as part of a town centre rejuvenation.
The company is set to regenerate part of Evesham town centre in Worcestershire.
The £2.6m development for Rooftop Housing Group will transform the site of a derelict factory, warehouse and garage on Brick Kiln Street into 29 affordable flats.
Seddon will begin working on the 11 two bedroom flats and 18 one bedroom flats in August, with the homes expected to be be complete by spring 2016.
The affordable properties have been designed to fit the style of existing homes in the area and the surrounding environment.
Seddon has previously delivered a 49-home £5.9m specialist housing scheme for Rooftop Housing in December 2013.
David Hannon, Development Director at Rooftop Housing Group, said: "We're delighted to be working with Seddon on this much-needed project. Together we will be delivering high quality, affordable homes and helping to ensure that market towns such as Evesham remain viable, and attractive places to live and work."
The scheme follows Seddon's appointment to the Central Housing Investment Consortium's £63 million planned maintenance framework for housing associations across the Midlands region.
