TClarke Experiences Steady Growth For First Half Of 2015

Building services contractor TClarke has experienced a steady improvement in the first half of 2015, according to its latest Interim Results.

Group revenue for the first six months to 30 June was £112.0m (2014: H1: £109.8m) while underlying operating profit improved from £1.1m to £1.4m.

This pushed operating margins up to 1.3% from 1.1% in the same period last year.

Over the last year, the forward order book has grown to £320m from £275m, with pre tax profit increasing from £200,000 to £900,000.

However, net debt in June was £8.7m (June 2014: £4.3m) as the Group invested in its engineering resources to ensure delivery of the extra workload.

The board expects this position to improve during the second half of the year as the larger schemes in London come on stream.

Chief Executive, Mark Lawrence, said: "The Group looks forward to the improving market conditions particularly with our forward visibility for next year and beyond.
