Planning permission has been granted to develop the UK's tallest sculpture into a tunnel slide.
The world's tallest and longest tunnel slide will be built from the top of ArcelorMittal Orbit on the Olympic Park in East London.
A planning application was submitted on 28 July to create the attraction from the platforms of the structure down to ground level.
Thrill seekers will hit speeds of 15mph on the 178m slide, which is expected to last 40 seconds per ride.
Turner Prize-winning artist Anish Kapoor and structural designer Cecil Balmond designed the tower for the 2012 Olympics.
It is anticipated the slide will be installed by spring 2016.
