A Norfolk‐based firm has received a business boost from retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis.
Last week, Glen Howard, owner of Carpet Tiles Next Day, tweeted Theo about Carpet Tiles Next Day during 'Small Business Sunday' (SBS), an initiative set up by Mr Paphitis that runs weekly.
Theo re‐tweeted Glen's message to his 483,000 followers and as a result, the business (carpettilesnextday.co.uk) has 200 more followers and extra orders for their Carpet Tiles.
The business is also profiled on a new website (theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to SBS winners.
Mr Howard said: "To be announced as one of the winners of Theo's Small Business Sunday was pretty amazing!
"Working as an online supplier especially in a rural area you can almost be classed as 'off the grid' and hidden from view. To be recognised for all the hard work and effort put in over many years gives you an instant boost and makes you even hungrier for success.
"I think what surprised us the most was the number of people out there running small businesses looking to raise awareness for the wonderful products and services they provide.
"It's great that #SBS are there to help and well worth the tweet to Mr Paphitis on a Sunday evening. The response for us on social media was incredible and immediate but also extremely rewarding. It gave us the chance to network with other companies and also past #SBS winners all of which were very welcoming.
"We are now proud to be part of the #SBSFamily and really appreciate Theo for singling us out as one to watch for the future!"
