Esh Group has announced a strong set of results in turnover for 2014.
In total, turnover was £277 million, a 43% increase from the previous year and an improved Profit before Tax (PBT) of £9.5 million against £2.3 million in 2013.
The figures were presented at an annual shareholder meeting at Durham County Cricket Club on 13 July.
The acquisition of Border Construction, now rebranded Esh Border Construction, contributed some £20 million of the turnover increase.
Brian Manning, Group Chief Executive of Esh Group, said: "The significant geographical reach of our diverse range of construction and property businesses, supported by a strong financial base built up by shareholders over a number of years, has been key to Esh Group’s growth."
Shareholders were updated at the meeting on investment plans for further development at Esh Group’s headquarters at Bowburn near Durham, the development of an operational base in Yorkshire and plans to take forward a large scale mixed development at Philadelphia in a Sunderland, Tyne & Wear.
