A Skanska contract for the London Underground has been extended by two years.
The four year civil engineering maintenance deal originally began in 2011 with the possibility of extension depending on performance.
The Skanska team will work alongside London Underground to maintain over 1,000 bridges and 125 tunnels across multiple routes, including the Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City, District, Bakerloo, Central, Victoria and Circle lines.
Works will include track and depot drainage, vegetation and coating management, pest control, platform ramps, bridges and viaducts, earth structures, support services and emergency reactive works.
James Holmes, Skanska's Operations Director, said: "As one of our most long-term, key customers, it’s fantastic to continue working with London Underground on this hugely successful contract.
"The team has done an exceptional job of maintaining a whole portfolio of assets, and I look forward to continued success over the next two years."
