Skanska has announced a reform of its senior management team.

Thomas Faulkner will become an Executive Vice President and will join the Executive Management Team.

He will be responsible for the company's utilities, cementation and facilities services operating units.

Peter Jones will move from Managing Director (MD), Utilities to leading Skanska's approach to the HS2 high speed railway project.

James Richardson is promoted to MD of Civil Engineering from his current role as Operations Manager.

Andrew English has been appointed MD of Utilities, promoted from his current position of Commercial Director, Civil Engineering.

Adrian Cooke will become MD of Infrastructure Services from his previous role as Senior Operations Director.

The changes will take effect from 1 July 2015.

President and CEO of Skanska UK, Mike Putnam, said: "These changes come at an important time for Skanska as we continue on our path of profitable, sustainable growth."

As part of the management reform, the company has announced it plans to recruit 1,000 people over the next 18 months.
