BAM Nuttall has been awarded a contract to undertake regeneration work at a former mail centre site in London.
Royal Mail Group has appointed BAM to carry out remediation works of its former centre at Nine Elms in South London.
The 4.2 hectare site has been used by Royal Mail since the 1970's and was part of the Nine Elms Gas Works.
BAM will carry out site clearance, demolition, utility diversions, bulk earthworks and remediation including onsite soil and water treatment.
The area will be prepared for the development of up to 1870 residential units, a new primary school and over six acres of public space.
Royal Mail secured planning permission for the scheme in March 2012 from the council.
