Galliford Try has chosen Peter Truscott as its new Chief Executive as part of a boardroom reshuffle.

Mr Truscott is currently South Divisional Chairman at Taylor Wimpey and also a member of its Group Management team.

His appointment is to be made official on 1 October 2015.

Terry Millar, Chair of the Nomination Committee for Galliford Try, said: "I am pleased that Peter Truscott has agreed to join Galliford Try as Chief Executive."

Other boardroom changes include:

• Peter Ventress appointed Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Non-Executive Director.

• Gavin Slark appointed Non-Executive Director effective from 13 May 2015.

• Greg Fitzgerald to become Non-Executive Chairman from 1 January 2016.

Construction Division Chief Executive Ken Gillespie has also been given an expanded position as Group Chief Operating Officer.
