Midas Construction Development Awarded BREEAM 'Very Good' Rating

A Midas Construction development project in Bristol's Aztec West business park has been awarded a 'Very Good' rating at design stage by BREEAM.

The £5 million office building at 740 Waterside Drive is undergoing a range of refurbishments and improvements, including replacing mechanical and electrical systems, installing photovoltaic panels on the roof and enhancing the air tightness of the building.

The building has achieved an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) of 'A'.

Midas Construction are developing the 51,000 sq ft site for Legal & General Group UK.

Gavin Dunn, Director of Breeam, said: "The BREEAM success of 740 Waterside Drive is testament to the commitment of Legal & General and the entire project team to addressing the challenges of improving existing buildings."
